Churchill Gardens was constructed between 1946 and 1962 replacing Victorian terraced homes damaged in the Blitz.
The development is noted for a rare and very early example of district heating in the UK using hot water from the now-disused Battersea Power Station.
Chuchill Gardens was designated a conservation area in 1990.
