Quidhampton: a hamlet in Overton parish
Quidhampton is a hamlet in Overton parish, Hampshire, within the borough of Basingstoke and Deane. Overton Parish Council lists it alongside Southington, Polhampton, Ashe and the parish's other outlying settlements. Its setting belongs to the rural community around Overton.
Overton is the parish's main village and the focus for a wider range of shops, hospitality and community activity. The parish council describes its historic centre and surrounding countryside as central to the area's character. This gives a useful distinction when choosing a home: a Quidhampton address offers a hamlet setting, while everyday destinations may be in Overton itself.
Compare the route between a prospective home and the facilities you use in Overton, rather than assuming every address in the parish has the same access. The parish council publishes a parish map, meeting papers and information about the recreation grounds and community facilities it manages.
