MyPorta in ChatGPT, Claude and other AI assistants

What it does

Ask your assistant for homes in your own words and it uses MyPorta to:

Find homes for sale or to rent anywhere in the UK and the Channel Islands: a town, county, region, national park, named coast or postcode. Tell it what matters to you, such as a garden, a short walk to a station or good schools nearby, and it ranks the homes by how well they fit, with the reasons shown.
Tell you about one home: what the advert says, the rooms, tenure, council tax band, energy rating, parking, and what is nearby, including the nearest primary and secondary schools with their Ofsted grade, the station, bus stop, park, GP surgery, pharmacy, supermarket and broadband.
Compare two to four homes side by side.
Describe an area from our area guides: what a town, village or neighbourhood is like to live in.

Every home comes with a link to its page on MyPorta, or to the agent's own page when that is where the full details are.

In ChatGPT

In ChatGPT, open the apps directory and search for MyPorta.
Select MyPorta and connect it. There is nothing to sign in to and nothing to pay.
Ask for homes as you normally would. To be sure ChatGPT uses MyPorta, start your message with "MyPorta" or "Use MyPorta to…".

In the directory the developer is shown as ModelProp, MyPorta's parent company.

In Claude

In Claude, open Settings, then Connectors, and browse for MyPorta.
Select MyPorta and connect it. There is nothing to sign in to and nothing to pay.
In a chat, make sure MyPorta is switched on in the tools menu, then ask for homes as you normally would.

If MyPorta is not in the list yet, choose Add custom connector, name it MyPorta and paste this address:

Other assistants

Any AI assistant or app that can add a connector by its address can use MyPorta, including Perplexity on its paid plans. Add a custom connector with the same address:

For developers: this is a remote MCP (Model Context Protocol) server over streamable HTTP. It needs no sign-in or key, and every tool only reads. It is listed in the official MCP Registry as ai.myporta/myporta.

What to ask

Ask about one place at a time. For somewhere MyPorta does not know as a single place, ask about its main towns one by one.

What it cannot do

It only looks things up. It cannot book viewings, contact agents, make offers, or save homes and searches. Do those on the home's page or in your MyPorta account.
It covers the UK and the Channel Islands only.
Prices and availability change. Check the home's page, or ask the agent, before you rely on them.
Distances to schools, stations and other places are straight-line, not walking or driving distances. Ofsted grades are for schools in England.
It does not value homes or give mortgage, legal or financial advice.

If something goes wrong

The assistant answered without MyPorta, or showed other websites. Check MyPorta is connected and switched on for the chat, then start your message with "Use MyPorta to…".
"MyPorta did not recognise the place". Ask for one town, city, county, region, national park, named coast or postcode at a time.
No homes found. Try a higher budget, fewer must-haves, or a nearby town.
Too many requests. Wait a minute and ask again.
An answer looks wrong. Email support@myporta.ai with what you asked, which assistant you used and roughly when, and the link to the home if there is one. A person reads every message.

Privacy and who runs it

When you ask your assistant to use MyPorta, it sends us only the request it is making for you, such as the place, budget, bedrooms and wishes, or the home or area you asked about. We do not receive your name, email address or your conversation. Our privacy notice explains this in full, and our terms of use apply. Your assistant's provider handles your conversation under its own privacy policy.
